When all is said and done, pretty much every comic book movie to date - particularly those in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - has had the exact same recipe. They start peaceful enough, then a threat emerges, then a plan of action is put in place, something terrible happens, an epic final battle occurs and the hero or heroes ultimately win the day (with a love story thrown in for good measure). Exactly what can Phase 3 offer that is, ultimately, going to be any different to that? The characters will change, the motives will change, the locations will change, but the formula will probably be the same. Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be hoping to see something a little different from the nine Phase 3 movies, but the doubts about that actually happening definitely exist.
