8. A Civil War Worthy Of The Name

The announcement of a Civil War movie - one that has been designated as the third Captain America offering - was one of the most exciting parts of the Phase 3 reveal. In the comic books, the Civil War storyline centred around the introduction of the Superhuman Registration Act - a legislation that required all superhumans to register as such in order to make their activity more controlled and official, after a group of inexperienced superhumans had caused a lot of damage and death. Iron Man was pro-registration and Captain America was anti-registration and, along with teams of supporters for each of their causes, they came to blows in an epic event. There were hundreds of characters involved - and it simply won't be that big on screen. The likelihood is that Iron Man, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Bucky Barnes, James Rhodes and Sam Wilson will be involved, but the big guns like Hulk and Thor will be missing - and that will be a real shame.
