6. Something Less Formulaic

The recipe for every single Marvel Cinematic Universe movie has been practically identical. The movies start relatively calm and peaceful, then a threat emerges, the heroes have to put a plan of action in place, something terrible happens to jeopardise the whole thing, then an epic final battle occurs and the hero or heroes ultimately win the day (usually with funny quips, romances and bromances filling in the gaps). It's a formula that works, undoubtedly, but it would be nice to see something different just once. However, the likelihood of anything other than that exact scenario playing out in each of Phase 3's movies is somewhere between slim and zero. Marvel Studios won't want to risk another formula failing, so fans can expect more of the same in the next run of movies.
