6. Who Was Sharon Carter Talking To?
Once a strong, reliable ally to Captain America when he was at his lowest and in dire need of help from within the government, Sharon has set herself up as a foil to the new Captain America as an international arms dealer and head honcho of Madripoor's criminal underworld. You can expect her to be a major villain going forward, and we may even see her in the forthcoming Armor Wars series.
The biggest mystery surrounding Sharon is tied to that little phone call she made after receiving a full pardon, informing... whoever... that she now has access to government resources, and that... whoever... needed to start lining up their buyers.
Who is that "whoever"? Was it Justin Hammer? That seems pretty likely, given that the MCU is bringing back old faces (i.e. Emil Blonsky). Equally, it could be Xialing, since A) international weapons dealing is Ten Rings territory, and B) we're rumored to be getting a Ten Rings spinoff series. Both Hammer and Xialing make perfect sense. Then again, it could be an as-of-yet unnamed character. There are plenty of possibilities, so we'll just have to hold our collective breath until we see Sharon Carter next.
