MCU Phase 4: 10 Epic Thor Moments Marvel Must Adapt

2. Thor Killing A Mountain-Worth Of Ice Giants

In terms of major Marvel events, there aren't many more intense than that of the currently ongoing War of the Realms series. The events revolves around Malekith - a particularly twisted dark elf - trying to take down Midgard, with the help of a sizeable army of ice giants.

Unfortunately for him, however, said ice giants are an enemy Thor is particularly used to fighting, and this is perhaps shown best in the series' third issue, where Thor shows just how capable he is of killing them by creating 'mountains' out of the piled dead corpses of his enemy. Literal mountains.

This ordeal does take chunks out of Mjolnir - and, it would appear, chunks out of Thor - but this doesn't deter Thor, who finishes the issue with a humble request to fight some more giants.

He's clearly half-crazed at this point, but even a half-crazed Thor with a missing arm is always down to fight, and that's the kind of commitment you can't help but respect.
