MCU Phase 4: 10 Films That MUST Happen (That Marvel Won't Make)
1. Asgardians Of The Galaxy
Asgardians Of The Galaxy is a fairly new comic series, only putting out its first issue in September 2018. Marvel has an incredibly deep bench, so the odds of them calling up a rookie with no built in fanbase are very long indeed.
That doesn’t change the fact that an Asgardians-esque film would be a hugely compelling prospect to to the likes of Taika Waititi. In Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, it already has one of the MCU’s best supporting cast members, but the gang only gets weirder from there.
The Asgardians are also home to the likes of Angela, Thor’s other secret sister after Hela; Thunderstrike, a mace wielding Asgardian with sonic boom fists; and Throg, a college football star turned into a frog by a witch, who picked up a sliver of Mjolnir and became a blend of frog and God Of Thunder. (Yes, really.)
Speaking of bizarre directors, if Thor perishes in Endgame, don’t bet against Waititi taking up the reins on Asgardians. He’s already gotten the best out of Valkyrie once before - plus he could add Korg to the gang, and his improv style would be brilliant in such a setting. Still though, don’t hold your breath that it'll happen.
