MCU Phase 4: 10 Things They Must Address (And Not Just Forget About)

6. Gamora Technically Isn't Gamora

Endgame really changed the, um, game when it comes to the MCU. Alternate timelines, time travelling; new, endless storytelling possibilities. One such interesting situation is the fact that the green-skinned daughter of Thanos technically is not the same Gamora that viewers have come to know.

Guardians 3 should include the consequences of an alternate-dimension Gamora joining the team. What was her experience like with the Mad Titan? Since she was with him more recently in this time, maybe her feelings are more mixed than they were in her first appearance. She may still revere him and have complicated feelings about his death.

This would be a very interesting character dynamic: it might not lead to a cataclysmic showdown, but perhaps more of an emotional reckoning that the MCU has delivered previously. Peter Quill was in love with Gamora, and this is her, just an earlier version of her that doesn't yet harbor reciprocal feelings. That alone has a variety of story threads hanging from it, any one of which would be satisfying to watch unfold.

Again, it may not result in the most intense battle in the universe, but the potential emotional ramifications of an alternate-dimension Gamora is a very fascinating concept for future MCU stories.
