MCU Phase 4: 10 Villains Marvel Could Use In Doctor Strange 2

One of the most interesting concepts to come out of Doctor Strange's debut was the introduction of the Astral Plane. An abstract world that can be accessed by those trained in magic, the Astral Plane was a minor yet incredibly important part of the magical world of Doctor Strange.

With Black Panther exploring the idea of a similar plane occupied by the spirits of a given person's ancestors, the introduction of the spiritual worlds and other dimensions to the MCU is ripe for exploration in a future Doctor Strange sequel.

This leads very neatly into the villain of Nightmare, the not-so-subtly named master of the Dream Dimension. Similar to Mephisto, Nightmare has had run-ins with too many Marvel heroes to count. However, he remains primarily an antagonist to Doctor Strange, having been the very first villain that the Sorcerer Supreme ever faced.

The most natural fit for the psychedelic and kaleidoscopic imagery that has become a mainstay of the MCU's Doctor Strange, the world of dreams and Nightmare is one crying out to be done justice on the big screen.

The mind-bending imagery of Doctor Strange meets Inception? That alone is worth a ticket... or ten.
