8. A New Status Quo In Asgard
Avengers: Endgame revealed that Thor has established "New Asgard" in Norway, and by the time the movie ended, he had placed Valkyrie in charge of the kingdom. Heading into Taika Waititi's Thor: Love and Thunder, more big changes are coming as Natalie Portman is returning as Jane Foster...to wield Mjolnir as the new God of Thunder!
It's unclear how exactly that's going to work, but Chris Hemsworth has confirmed that he's not done as Thor, so he'll be back in some form in Phase 5.
Throw in the fact that Valkyrie is looking for her "Queen," and it's clear big changes are coming to Thor's world. The consequences of that will continue being felt, whether it's because Thor is unworthy or because Jane Foster is heading into action in his place, and he's taken on an Odin-like role instead.
It's hard to say for sure whether things are going, but Asgard is going to look very different following the events of Love and Thunder, and while Taika Waititi is committed to a Star Wars movie, he's bound to be back to finish his trilogy in grand style after delivering more surprises with this effort.
