MCU Phase 4: 10 Ways Marvel Could Reboot Blade

1. Kickstart A Supernatural MCU

At the end of the day, Marvel might not be able to match DC blow for blow when it comes to the supernatural. That said, they definitely do not lack in that department, with Blade only a number of different protagonists tailor-made for that sort of business.

The aforementioned Strange is another, but so are characters like Ghost Rider (he too, overdue another bout on the big-screen), Moon Knight and Hannibal King. There's an entire aspect of the Marvel Universe that's yet to be tapped and, much like the cosmic one, it shouldn't be too long until audiences see it in action in the MCU.

Greg Smallwood's Midnight Sons concept is exactly the type of story Marvel should be pursuing on the page and off, and with Blade as the centre of attention, it's a premise that simply cannot fail, especially when you throw characters like Ghost Rider and Doctor Strange into the mix.

Cosmic Marvel has been the name of the game for the past two phases now, and with Marvel's espionage and street-level elements already having received their due, it's the supernatural that the studio should look to next. Have Blade lead that charge, and the MCU will only be better for it.
