The biggest surprise of Comic Con came in the shape of Mahershala Ali's Blade announcement right at the end of the panel.

After years of Wesley Snipe talking up the possibility of a new project - whether a movie or a TV show - Marvel initially considered a TV show on Hulu before Ali apparently made himself available for the role and the rest was history.

For now, we know absolutely nothing about the vampire's return to the big screen, but the fact that we're getting a Blade movie and one that will be led by a talent as huge as Ali puts this firmly in the top band of hype.
