Release: May 1st, 2020

It's taken way too long to get here, but we're finally getting a Black Widow solo movie the year following her on-screen death in Avengers: Endgame.

The prequel will take in the distant past and Nat's time at the Red Room facility as well as taking up her story after Civil War's end to explain what happened when Tony Stark forced her underground for her deception. From there, there's a gap until she turned up with Captain America again and it seems she was visited by a ghost of Christmas past in the shape of fellow Black Widow Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh). Together, they'll team up with fellow former Russian supersoldier Red Guardian (David Harbour) to take down Taskmaster (who is definitely Rachel Weisz) while Nat finds out the truth of her past.

It looks like a great story, there's a great cast and everyone now knows that Widow deserves a better farewell than Endgame gave her.
