MCU Phase 4: 9 Insane Fan Theories You Won't Believe

4. A Ravagers Spin-Off Gets Made, Marvel Expands The Guardians

Undoubtedly one of the best things about Guardians 2 was its raft of celebrity cameos. With Sylvester Stallone, Michelle Yeoh, Michael Rosenbaum and Ving Rhames all receiving a mid-credits sequence as the original incarnation of the Guardians, there's every chance that more could come of these appearances, with Gunn himself having remarked that we'll be seeing more of Stallone in the MCU going forward.

While Marvel's slate is jam-packed as it is, it's clear that they're keen to explore more of their universe's sci-fi elements. Guardians 3 will open Phase 4 along with Spider-Man, and well, things don't get any more cosmic than an invasion masterminded by Thanos.

With that in mind, fans have speculated that a Ravagers spin-off led by Stallone could soon be in the pipeline. Gunn himself has openly optioned the project as a potential film for Marvel's next wave of releases, and while it's true that the studio have plenty on their plate already, the temptation to launch another sci-fi series with Stallone, Yeoh and Rhames must surely be tempting, especially if the Guardians wrap things up with their third feature.

If there's a world not up for that kind of feature, it's not one I want to be a part of.
