Today, Netflix stands tall as the home for all of Marvel's darkest properties. Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage have all set up shop on the on-demand service, starring in multiple critically-acclaimed series' that have depicted a cinematic universe much more adult than the one we've seen in theatres.

And yet, there's a chance that Marvel could be shifting that approach to their big-screen features. We know for a fact that Disney will be withdrawing from Netflix sometime in the next two years, and while that's no cause to worry about Matt Murdock et al., out-sourcing some of those darker MCU elements to the big-screen could just be what Disney have in store going forward.

We've already seen Fox tear it up with Deadpool and Logan, and with Kevin Feige himself having spoken of the potential for R-Rated Marvel features in the future, there's every chance that the MCU could be venturing in a new direction come its fourth phase. Kate Beckinsale even said that Marvel were "doing something" with Blade during NYCC 2016, so there's every chance that one of those unannounced Marvel projects could revolve around the vampire hunter.

Obviously this has led to plenty of speculation from fans desperate to see the character in the MCU. The good news is that Feige sounds keen for the reunion, and if vampires are about (as was confirmed in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), expect that reunion to take place in Phase 4.
