MCU Phase 4: Predicting Every Major Character That Will Join
15. Silk
First Appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #1
Cindy Moon actually made her live-action debut in Spider-Man: Homecoming, played by Tiffany Espensen. Rumours had abounded in the run up to Infinity War that, because she was reprising her role as the character, that an appearance as Silk - her superhero alter-ego - would shortly follow.
That obviously wasn't the case, but that doesn't mean that Marvel should be any less enthusiastic about making Cindy another of the franchise's Spider-themed heroes. In the comics, Moon is bitten by the same spider that gave Peter Parker his famous powers, but whereas Peter managed to contain his powers fairly easily, Cindy wasn't quite so lucky, with the character only gaining their superhero identity years after Peter donned the famous red and blue of his original costume.
She's become a fan-favourite character in the years following her introduction by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos though, and with her own solo series having garnered plaudits across the board, it's not unreasonable to expect Marvel to make Cindy a hero - particularly so, in their attempts to differentiate their interpretation of the Spidey-mythos from Sony's older films, as well as their confusingly connected Spidey spin-offs.
