MCU Phase 5: Every Single Character Confirmed (So Far)

14. Blade (Mahershala Ali) - Blade

After over 20 years and lots of false starts (at least according to Wesley Snipes who seemed very very committed to bringing the Day Walker back to the big screen for a lot of that time) Marvel is rebooting Blade.

All we really know right now is that it will star Oscar winner and Luke Cage actor Mahershala Ali and it's coming probably in Phase 5. Whether it's a Disney+ show or a movie remains to be seen, but it's certainly being discussed widely as a movie at this stage.

He's definitely an interesting one, given that his world is one populated by vampires, but the character is incredibly popular and Ali is a supremely gifted actor who apparently pitched the movie to Kevin Feige himself. So you know he's invested in really making something of it.
