MCU: Predicting 10 Fox/Marvel Characters Disney Will Use First

1. Wolverine

According to some recent reports, Kevin Feige is currently on the hunt for his new Wolverine. He'd probably love to have Hugh Jackman continue in the role, but - even with whispers that he'd be keen if it was in the MCU - Jackman is done and returning now would be a disservice to Logan. So we move on.

Beyond the specifics of casting, the key point here is that Wolverine is very much going to be a big part of Marvel's plans. Hopefully, they'll approach him as a solo character first - perhaps even using him as an Avenger as in Brian Michael Bendis' New Avengers - because over-relying on him to sell an X-Men movie again would be a mistake. He's effectively the mutantkind Tony Stark in terms of his value as a stand-alone character and Marvel will already know that.

So expect him to be fast-tracked back to the big screen, in other words.

There's also the distinct possibility that Disney could keep Dafne Keen's X-23 around after she was one of the stand-out reasons for Logan's success. After all, there was going to be a James Mangold-directed spin-off starring her had Fox's plans gone ahead unDisneynified. Plus, she was remarkably popular with fans and that's the kind of thing Marvel Studios do pay attention to.
