MCU Rumour: Marvel Have Secretly Cancelled X-Men Dark Phoenix & New Mutants
1. Mutants In The MCU
And even though the Disney/Fox deal hasn't yet gone through, Slugzilla says Disney representatives have been on Fox sets already and they have some plans in place.
They say that Mutants will come into the MCU thanks to The Eternals movie, which will presumably use the established Celestials lore in the MCU as a launching point.
And Slugzilla, excitingly, also says that Marvel have plans for Galactus and Silver Surfer to be the next big characters introduced to the MCU, probably as the focus for the post-Infinity Saga Avengers movie. Which again makes sense given what we know of Marvel's approach.
There's also mention that James Gunn wanted to use them for Guardians Of The Galaxy, but wasn't able to, which fits with things Gunn has been quoted as saying in the past.
