Sony producer Amy Pascal recently teased that another trilogy of Spider-Man movies are already in development, sending fans into a frenzy.

Now with the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, we’ve been speculating on what could take place in the next installment of Peter Parker’s story.

The MCU currently has five untitled Marvel movies slated for release across 2023 and 2024, so it’s highly likely that one of those will end up being Spider-Man 4.

Plus, Spider-Man could pop up sooner than his next solo venture in one of the many confirmed Marvel Cinematic Universe entries, or in Sony’s own Spidey universe with Morbius, Kraven the Hunter, and a third Venom movie all on the way.

Spider-Man: No Way Home neatly wrapped up this trilogy of Spider-Man movies, giving Peter Parker a blank slate for the future. Read on to see what we are hoping to see in Spider-Man 4.

The post-credits scene for Venom: Let There Be Carnage saw Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock cross the multiverse at the exact moment Peter Parker was revealed as Spider-Man, with the symbiote Venom seeming to recognize the webslinger too.

Cut forward to No Way Home and while Venom’s rumoured appearance in the movie’s climax turned out to be false, we did see Eddie Brock in a post-credits scene.

After learning all about Thanos and the temporary disappearance of half the world’s population from a bemused barman, Eddie and the symbiote are dragged back to their universe.

But when the camera pans down to the bar, we see a small piece of the Venom symbiote has stayed behind in the MCU.

The question that remains is: Will we see Holland's Spider-Man become consumed by the symbiote, or will Eddie Brock find a way to return and fix the mess?

While it’s possible the symbiote could take over somebody already in the MCU, it’s highly likely that both Sony and Marvel will want to capitalize on Tom Hardy’s popularity as Venom and find a way to cross over the multiverse once again.
