MCU: The Worst Thing EVERY Avenger Has Done

Stephen Strange is such a revered presence within the MCU that even the Sorcerer Supreme herself, the Ancient One, knew he was to be the best of the sorcerers long before she met him. And even though he presents himself in a self-assured manner, he never failed to do what was right for the greater good, defeating Dormammu and finding the single way out of 14 million possible outcomes to outsmart Thanos.

However, that self-assured nature wasn't always such an endearing quality. Back when he was a surgeon, he was well-aware of how good he was at his job and that quickly took him down a route of arrogance and vanity. He did the job without ever feeling any of the emotions necessary to be truly great, and that ultimately rendered him incapable of truly caring about what he was doing. And, in many ways, it even resulted in the crash that made him embark on his journey to becoming the real Doctor Strange.
