9. Crossbones - Captain America: Civil War

Most of the concept art revealing alternate looks at Frank Grillo's Crossbones for Captain America: Civil War were based very closely on the final design. The thing that seemed to change most was the design of his mask, which ended up looking more like a full-cover hockey mask.

In at least one early phase, though, it looked far more like a skull, which would definitely have suited his name a bit more.
