The final five minutes of the film rounds up the Overkill story and introduces the hero of Despicable Me at the same time, with Gru freezing Scarlet and Herb and making off with the Queen's crown. The Minions immediately choose the villain as their new master and head off for a whole host of new adventures. However, Gru isn't the only Despicable Me character to appear in the closing sequence, which plays over the opening of the end credits. Near the end, the Minions vandalise a painting of Marlena Gru, prompting her son to get involved too. Then, the woman herself shows (although there's no vocal work from Julie Andrews this time).
