1. All Grown Up
For a while Mara Wilson was the go-to-girl for young characters with a maturity deyond their years, and she was excellent playing similar characters in Miracle, Mrs Doubtfire and Matilda before she all but retired after 1997's A Simple Wish and went on to more recently become a stage actress with no plans to return to screen work.
