Mischa Barton to be Finding t.A.T.u.

mischabarton.jpgIn April, we told you that the Russain pop-singing duo t.A.T.u. who were famous for five minutes a few years back because they would act like lesbians in their school girl outfits on stage and in their music videos were getting their own movie. The movie titled Finding t.A.T.u. would star both "singers" playing themselves but wouldn't actually have them as main characters. Instead the film would be set around a lonely teenager in Moscow who becomes friendly with a local girl as they share a common bond... their love for the band T.A.T.U. Variety are reporting that The O.C. star Mischa Barton has been cast in the flick which will begin shooting later this week. We can only presume she will be playing the lead character who is obsessed with t.A.T.u. We can also safely presume she is lonely there in Moscow because she's a foreigner in a foreign land. Captivity director Roland Joffe will be helming the flick.
