8. Ethan Crashes A Funeral

After leaving the safehouse and chasing Walker through London, Ethan accidentally stumbles through a funeral, and going by the ridiculous number of attendees and police guard outside, it was certainly someone important.

Hunt tries to quickly pass through the cathedral while Benji directs him over comms, but Walker's goons have most of the exits blocked, causing Hunt to tell the hundreds of mourners, "I am terribly sorry", before running through the one remaining exit, goons in tow.

Half-funny and half-cringe-worthy, it's certainly a beat that could've ended up on the cutting room floor given the movie's 147-minute run-time, but Cruise fires it through with just the right amount of sincerity to basically make it work.
