20. Morbius Turns Down The Nobel Prize

25 years later, Michael is a renowned doctor who is invited to accept a Nobel Prize in Medicine for his ground-breaking work developing synthetic blood, which is said to have saved millions of lives.

Yet Michael ends up turning the prize down because it isn't a viable long-term treatment for his own specific blood disorder.

The scene's clearly meant to paint Michael in a noble light by refusing the Nobel Prize, but it honestly just makes him look a bit silly and stubbornly proud.

Given that the Nobel Prize typically includes over $1 million in reward money, that's quite the inane decision on Michael's part.

Plus, considering some of the extremely immoral actions we see him partaking in over the course of the film - like, murdering numerous goons on a tanker - it's absurd for him to try and take the moral high-ground at any point.
