Morbius: 21 WTF Moments

2. Mid-Credits: Adrian Toomes Enters This Universe

Those who bother to stick around for the mid-credits scene will likely be left scratching their heads.

The scene shows the same multiversal rift from Spider-Man: No Way Home, which has somehow pulled the MCU's Adrian Toomes into the world of this movie.

Toomes emerges in a prison cell, and because this universe has no record of Toomes, he's ultimately freed by the police.

This scene is puzzling for several reasons. First of all, why would Toomes be thrown into this universe at all? Secondly, why doesn't he seem at all bothered about the family he's left behind? And going by the MCU's logic of variants and all, wouldn't an Adrian Toomes exist in this universe too?

Sony were clearly so giddy about tying Morbius to No Way Home that they didn't bother to question the logic of it, like, at all. Worse still, they didn't think audiences would either.
