Arriving with little fanfare this past week was the debut feature from Ridley Scott's son Luke, a low-budget sci-fi thriller that nevertheless had a lot going for it on the surface.

Sadly Morgan mostly fails to live up to its promise and is one of the year's most frustratingly underdeveloped projects, especially considering the solid potential.

It's not without some bright spots, but for the most part it's a quintessential example of an intriguing premise undone by a mediocre execution and distinct lack of fresh ideas.
