18. The Mummy 4
There are few impending legacy sequels more anticipated than The Mummy 4, which will serve as a direct follow-up to the original trilogy of Brendan Fraser-starring action-adventure films.
In addition to Fraser reprising the role of Rick O'Connell, he'll be re-joined by Rachel Weisz, John Hannah, Arnold Vosloo, Kevin J. O'Connor, and Oded Fehr, while Obsession star Michael Johnston has also joined the cast in an undisclosed role.
Directing duties will meanwhile be undertaken by Ready or Not filmmakers Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, and while we don't know a whole lot about the sequel yet, it's safe to assume it'll offer up more globe-trotting action-horror shenanigans within the formula of a nostalgia-soaked legacy sequel.
Considering the enduring fondness for the original run of movies - well, the first two - don't be too shocked if this is one of 2027's biggest blockbuster hits.
