20 Secret Movie Villains EVERYONE Saw Coming
4. Joanna Worth - G20
Last year's trashy Amazon thriller G20 stars a wildly overqualified Viola Davis as President Danielle Sutton, who is forced to harness her inner John McClane when terrorists attack the G20 conference.
Though the primary villain is special forces operative Edward Rutledge (Antony Starr), later on we learn that he's had some inside help courtesy of Sutton's Treasury Secretary Joanna Worth (Elizabeth Marvel).
But anyone who's seen their fair share of "Die Hard at Home" movies should peg Worth's duplicity in her first major scene, where she's revealed to have been one of Danielle's rivals for the Presidential nomination.
Gee, why could this possibly be a relevant piece of information other than to foreshadow her third act heel turn - an act of revenge for losing the Presidential bid?
In a film that many criticised as feeling "written by AI," it's almost perfect that it serves up such a laughably neon-signposted villain twist.
