Mulan Trailer Reactions: 5 Ups & 2 Downs
This serious take on a Disney classic seems certain to bring honour to us all.
When all the attention seemed to be directed towards the upcoming release of Disney's live-action The Lion King, Disney threw a curveball with the announced casting of Halle Bailey as Ariel in a retelling of The Little Mermaid seemingly taking some its limelight.
Surprising us once again and capitalising on the current interest, Disney have unannouncedly dropped the first trailer for Mulan, set to be released on 27 March 2020, marking the next entry in the ever-growing live-action franchise.
Directed by Niki Caro, Mulan hit the headlines last year when news broke that the film would take a more serious approach adapting Mulan's source material, The Ballad of Mulan, more so than the original 1998 animated film.

This seems to hold true with fan favourite Mushu and love interest, General Shang absent from both the teaser trailer and ultimately the film.
