Muse: Every Album Ranked From Worst To Best

3. Black Holes and Revelations (2006)

untitled

A combination of electronic and space-rock, protestations about politics and elements of science-fiction, Black Holes and Revelations is certainly a brilliantly bizarre album. It bursts in with the powerful Take A Bow which beautifully hates on political leaders, and then it turns to the romantic and spacey, Starlight, which certainly has an€ interesting drum beat; it€™s Morse Code for t*ts. The album has loud, powerful tracks, like Supermassive Black Hole or the incredible Knights of Cydonia. As well as softer songs like Soldier€™s Poem which was going to be jazzed up and exciting but instead it was left as its core self; finding its power in its message. As well as songs with meaningful messages about the state of society; think political corruption, revolution and new world order, the album also includes Muse€™s take on love songs. Map Of The Problematique, might sound like another track about society but it includes the sweet line of €˜since I met you€™. Since breaking up with his then-girlfriend, Matt Bellamy has changed the lyrics in live performances to €˜since I lost you€™, showing that it was clearly written about her. Key Tracks: Supermassive Black Hole, Knights of Cydonia, Soldier€™s Poem.
