10. The Bandvengers

Summary: Rock and Roll is dying, and its up to F.O.X. to stop the douchey producer Sven Caramel and his talent shows spawning endless inane chart-toppers. Director Mike Peeve, with the assistance of Matt Hack and Agent Pete Clarkson, assemble a rock band so awesome it may just be able to save music itself- Colonel Slovenia, Thumb, Chrome Dome, Beater, Earwig and Crowbeak are bandsembled (?) to bandvenge (?) Rock n Roll. Can you guess what film this is riffing off? Answers on the back of a postcard to WhatCulture!

What I Learned: My only regret is that the gang and I never rounded out the trilogy of films we had worked on- there was nothing to come after 28 Daves Later and Deadline. We did have plan for a superhero movie in the vein of Kick Ass called Mediocre Man. We did shoot a few minutes of footage, but real life got in the way- it was final exams, I had been made captain of the house that year so I had very little time I thought my final film with all of them was going to be a recording Id done of an inter-house Masterchef competition! But luckily we had a shot at one last hurrah. Some of us still needed to raise money for our house-building charity. The sequel to our original India video was not going to cut it. We had to bring out the big guns. That week was the most productive Ive ever had- I wrote, shot and edited both The Bandvengers and the sequel, Your RAG Week Needs You, in under 48 hours! I still dont know how I managed to rope everyone in at such short notice and edit everything together so well. It went down in front of a mass audience with a somewhat muter response, but I didnt care. Though I didnt get every member of my core group involved, this was the closes we had to a trilogy-topper, and Im still damn proud of it.
