8. The Do's and Do-Not-Do's of Generous Charity Fundraising Donation Givings

Summary: The H3O boys try to convince you why you should donate money to a house-building project inIndia.
Best Bit: The awful summary of India, which has been confused with another country.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYVd7uOGBMsWhat I Learned: In my final year, an exciting opportunity arose- to go out toIndia and help build houses for a local community in Kerala. Whilst I worked all that summer to pay my flights and accommodation, I still had to raise my fair share of money for building materials. Luckily, my H3O partner was going on the same trip, so we produced another documentary. As silly as the humour was, and you can tell it was all shot in an afternoon, once again we do turn serious when required and deliver the message in a non-preachy way. We did produce a sequel which gave us a boost, but this was the first documentary about something I cared about personally. What did I learn here? How to produce an effective documentary about something important to me as a person. And, er, how to insert clips of Taken where they didnt need to be. This wasnt the last time Liam Neeson popped up in my educational videos In all, after so many huge, sprawling films and plays, and very important exams to focus on, this kept my creative juices flowing without infecting my every waking thought like some sort of parasite. It was nice to take a step down and use everything Id learnt so far to create something small, personal and slick.
