3. Alpha Gang
Alpha Gang is a new sci-fi comedy from David and Nathan Zellner, who turned many heads with their brilliantly bewildering 2024 fantasy-drama Sasquatch Sunset.
And the duo's new film seems no less bizarre, focused as it is on a group of humanoid aliens who arrive on Earth with the intent to destroy it, only to end up overwhelmed and compromised by human emotions.
Cate Blanchett will star as the leader of the alien group while the wider ensemble cast includes the incredible Chris Pine, Dave Bautista, Léa Seydoux, Lily-Rose Depp, Adria Arjona, and Doona Bae.
We don't know any more than that, but considering what the Zellners cooked up last time and their general commitment to intense weirdness across their entire filmography, it's easy to have faith in their most star-studded film to date perhaps also being their best.
Above all else, it's clear that Cate Blanchett is going to have an absolute feast with this role.
