New Batman Movie: 10 Things We Want To See in Batman 4

1. The Clown Prince of Crime

After the tragic death of Heath Ledger it was almost obvious that Nolan wouldn€™t attempt to recast The Joker, but an entirely new Batman franchise potentially means an entirely new take on this iconic Villain. Jack Nicholson€™s interpretation was great, Heath Ledger€™s was beyond phenomenal, even Mark Hammill€™s version in the Animated Series and Arkham video games was superb. In fact I don€™t think I€™ve seen a screen version of the Clown Prince of Crime yet that hasn€™t been awesome. This says one thing to me: this character is almost impossible to f*ck up. And we€™re excited by the prospect of a new Joker. We€™re of course not expecting it to top any of the previous iterations of the character; if the new director has any sense, they won€™t even try. Batman and the Joker are almost one and the same. Even when Joker isn€™t involved in the story, it€™s assumed that he€™s sitting somewhere, obsessively plotting against his arch-nemesis and that sometime soon, he€™ll make his presence felt. If there is to be a Batman reboot (and there€™s too much money to be made for there not to be), then it€™s really the perfect time to get Joker back into the mix. There€™s no pressure to re-cast Nolan€™s version of the character; the new director can go wherever they want with it. And you never know, we might just get ourselves yet another interpretation of The Clown Prince of Crime that we can all be proud of. So there you have our fantasy Batman movie. With the Justice League movie practically already in the works after the Avengers€™ success, it remains to be seen whether or not we€™ll actually get a Batman reboot. But the mission is never over, so why should Batman movies be? Anything you€™d like to see from the next Bats€™ outing? Pray tell.
