3. Solomon Grundy

Solomon Grundy €“ originally known as Cyrus Gold - was murdered way back in 1894 and buried in a swamp. Thanks to an unexplained process, Gold€™s body was transformed and reanimated and he roams the DC Universe causing general trouble for anyone he comes into contact with; including Batman. He takes his name from the classic mother goose nursery rhyme, which in most iterations of the character are the only words that he can speak. How it Could Work: We€™re completely abandoning Nolan realism here, in favour of a giant, super-strong zombie that could destroy Batman, if he could hit him. I can already imagine the rage building in some readers right now, but save it €“ Grundy is a popular main canon Batman villain and if he€™s used properly, he could be awesome. He€™d probably have to be artificially enhanced by CGI (a€™la The Hulk), but he€™d give Batman a serious run for his money. There€™s no running in head on with Grundy. The Caped Crusader would have to rely solely on his guile if he were to even hope to dent this supernatural behemoth. Who Could Play Him: Really, anyone with a distinctive enough face. You could take, let€™s say Ron Perlman, blow him up 5x with CGI, and he€™d look the part in the same way Ruffalo did as The Hulk. Likelihood: I wouldn€™t say Solomon Grundy would be a very likely main antagonist, but he would make a great side-villain. He€™s often controlled or influenced by another rogue in the comic books, and maybe in the new Batman movie that someone could even be€
