New Batman Movie: 10 Ways to Reboot Nolan’s Batman Continuity

6. Return of the Joker

In many ways, the Joker exists because of Batman and vice versa (something that€™s reiterated in the recent DC animated movie The Dark Knight Returns, and of course in the original graphic novel of the same name). So with that in mind, wouldn€™t it be awesome to see the Joker return, like he always does, in a reboot of Nolan€™s franchise. Alright, Ledger€™s performance as the Clown Prince of Crime was easily one of the greatest parts of Nolan€™s franchise, and I imagine public scrutiny surrounding casting of the character would be something fierce. But still, a way to reboot Nolan€™s continuity would be to have the Joker escape from Arkham Asylum. Perhaps this could even tie in nicely with John Blake as Batman €“ we€™ve seen how Bruce Wayne deals with our favourite pasty-faced psychopath; now let€™s see how his unwitting protégé does by comparison.
