15. Dust Bunny
Dust Bunny is a new genre-bending action-horror-thriller from the mind of Hannibal's Bryan Fuller, and which makes good on the premise of a hitman (Mads Mikkelsen) who teams up with a young girl (Sophie Sloan) to battle the monster under her bed she claims ate her family.
Between its strong cast and Fuller's imaginative knack for both ideas and visuals, Dust Bunny is a divertingly good time, even if it's also a bizarre enough sit that it's not remotely surprising it failed to break out commercially.
Dust Bunny's budget hasn't been publicly reported to date, though it sure as hell looks like it cost a pretty penny - certainly many times more than the mere $1 million it grossed worldwide.
The U.S. opening weekend was bleak enough that it averaged just $845 per cinema.
Granted it didn't really stand much of a chance considering Roadside Attractions' scant marketing campaign, ensuring most who watch this one will do so at home.
