20 Recent Horror Movies That NEED Sequels
7. Influencers
Influencers was last year's sequel to 2022's cult horror-thriller Influencer, and concluded with one hell of a wild setup for a threequel.
Serial killer CW (Cassandra Naud), who spends her time killing vapid influencers and assuming their lives, has her murder of toxic streamer-bro Jacob (Jonathan Whitesell) unknowingly livestreamed by her enemy from the first film, Madison (Emily Tennant).
Upon realising this, an incensed CW embarks on a murderous rampage against Jacob's friends, ending the film on an utterly demented note where CW is now exposed to the world and unable to remain hidden.
That's quite the tease for a climactic cat-and-mouse showdown between CW and Madison in a third film, which filmmaker Kurtis David Harder hopes to make.
However, it's impossible to know whether Influencers performed well enough on streaming service Shudder to justify a third go-around.
But as Influencers wasn't announced until it had already wrapped shooting, don't be surprised if the very same thing happens with the next one - assuming it does get made, of course.
