New Look At Brie Larson's Captain Marvel Costume Revealed
WITH the classic colours!
Captain Marvel is only eight or so months away from release now, and we're still yet to see an image of Brie Larson's Carol Danvers in her iconic costume, designed by artist Jamie McKelvie in 2012.
Sure, behind-the-scenes images have shown Larson in a green and blue version of the costume, most likely before Carol gets the opportunity to put her own stamp on it, but other than that, it's been left to fans and artists to mock up their own impressions of what it'll look like with the red, gold and blue colours made famous by the original Mar-Vell, and then by Carol in Kelly Sue DeConnick's comic six years ago. Online artist Boss Logic has been a big help in that regard, but now, thanks to a Portuguese superhero magazine, we've been given another look at how the costume could look come March 2019.
Coming by way of Mundo Dos Super-Herois, this particular artist's impression of Larson's hero is one of the most detailed we've seen yet, drawing inspiration from concept art revealed just over a year ago whilst adding a twist to the colour-scheme, substituting gold for silver on the suit's trim.
Yes, it might not be the official look fans are asking for, but it's only a matter of time until a more detailed look comes around. The trailer will no doubt come before the end of the year, and with Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck's film being the next before Avengers 4 comes around, expect Marvel to ratchet up their marketing considerably in the months to come.
