10. Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War
As successful as it was, Amazon's John Krasinski-starring Jack Ryan TV series stumbled in later seasons after a strong start, and by the end of its woefully disappointing final batch of episodes, it felt like high time for all involved to move on.
But a sequel film, Jack Ryan: Ghost War, was released back in May, and much as Amazon tried to promote it as a "major movie event," the trailers made it look like nothing more than more than a generic, junky action-thriller bearing the Jack Ryan branding.
It's easy to mock this entire enterprise as "we ordered Mission: Impossible from Shein," but it's true - even dyed-in-the-wool fans of the show were hard-pressed to say much positive about this film, which failed to offer up much of a compelling reason for its own existence.
Yet with the massive global viewership it drew, we'll probably end up with a sequel within the next few years.
