Or at least, we're assuming those are his first words. It would be pretty awkward for him to strike up a conversation with the heroine, only to ask her that question later.

One major plot detail that this tweet may have just put to bed is whether or not Luke is Rey's father. If he were, would he be asking a question like that?

Yes, he may only remember her as a child or teenager, but wouldn't Luke, who's incredibly strong with the force, know his daughter if she were standing right in front of him, holding a lightsaber?

We'll just have to wait until December to find out for sure.
