New Star Wars: The Last Jedi Footage - 6 Things We Just Learned

2. There's Another X-Wing Battle

Like The Force Awakens, it appears that The Last Jedi will also feature an X-Wing dogfight. When we last saw the famous ships in Episode VII, they were leading the assault on The First Order's Starkiller Base, eventually managing to take the enormous superweapon down with a well-placed attack.

Miller's tweet is pretty vague and there isn't much to go on (for example, we don't know whether this will be a space battle or a planet-level battle), but we're guessing that this scene involves Poe, since he's been shown to posses an extreme affinity toward piloting before.

The terminology "wounded bird" is interesting too. That implies defeat, like this ship has just received a devastating blow in the face of an incredibly powerful enemy.

We've heard rumblings that this film will be darker than its predecessor (like the jump from episodes IV to V), so this space battle may not be the only defeat the Resistance suffers during the course of the story.

He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
