1. The Death Of Jason Todd
This is quite possibly the biggest event in the Batman universe, right up there with Bane breaking Batmans back, Joker shooting Barbara Gordon and the death of Bruce Wayne. For that reason I think it has to be done in a movie at some point and why not now? In the scenario I have concocted that sees The Joker appear in the second movie and Todd become Robin in the third means the two would cross paths in the fourth movie. It might seem a tad overdone but Id love to see a movie that sees Batman get lured and trapped in Arkham Asylum with all the nutcases hes put away. Its for that exact reason that I think it should occur in the fourth movie, by then hes had 3 other movies worth of villains whore all now in Arkham and thirsty for revenge. My idea would be that while fighting his way through Arkham to get to the Joker, Batman gets trapped in a cell and the Joker forces him to watch as he kills the Boy Wonder. That might seem a bit dark or brutal for a movie and would almost guarantee the movie an 18 rating, depending on how its shown on screen but it would be an incredibly memorable scene that defines both the new Joker and the Batman series. Witnessing this, obviously, would provide Batman with the venom to break free and make one final attack on Joker. The question would be whether or not he finally kills him, the obvious answer being no.
Todds death would be kept under wraps and the movie would be advertised as an Arkham Asylum style tale but the Todd swerve near the end would shock both casual and comic fans. This would be the point of putting focus on Robin as Batmans integral sidekick from the first movie, to build the importance of the character and then watch the fallout of the murder. I truly see this as a Batman moment that needs to happen in a movie as it would be so potent and be unlike anything ever seen in a superhero movie before.
These are just my suggestions based on what Id personally love to see in a Batman movie. Would Killing Robin be too far for a superhero movie? What would you like to see? Which villains or storylines should be undertaken? Let us know in the comments below!
