3. Isabel Bigelow/Samantha Stephens - Bewitched (2005)
We suppose this looked like a "neat" idea at first glance, given the legacy of the TV series, and it being a movie project in which Nicole Kidman could shed the weight of all those dramatic roles and have a bit of fun. Signing on for this thing proved to be a terrible decision, though, because
Bewitched is absolutely horrible from start to finish. And surprisingly, it's not just because of the daft script and dated premise - Kidman, despite her best efforts, just can't get to grips with the role of a witch in the modern world. Though undoubtably she possesses some degree of comedic talent, it's definitely not on show here, and her chemistry with Will Ferrell (equally bad) is shocking. Plainly put,
Bewitched doesn't work as a movie, and watching poor Nicole trying to find the right levels of "cute" for its arduous running time is kind of embarrassing. Sorry, Nicole.
