It can’t be understated how important this last run has been for the super spy. Over the past five Daniel Craig lead films, he has really transformed James Bond for the better - keeping what works and leaving some of the more dated aspects in the past. Which on paper seems like a herculean task, but he pulled it off.

Going forward, or even back into the past, Bond will have finally lost his reputation that M once bestowed upon him and now James is no longer a relic of the Cold War. The sexist misogynist dinosaur has become extinct and a newer, slicker spy for the modern age has risen in his place. All this without compromising what made the character beloved by millions for so long.

Whoever picks up where Craig left off, they better not screw it up, because Daniel left this character in the best place imaginable after the mess which was Die Another Day. The next leading man has massive shoes to fill.
