The character of James Bond is a strange one, especially for modern audiences today. What with many becoming accustomed to the likes of the MCU and accurate timelines that everything can be pinpointed, but this just isn’t the case with Double O Seven.

This has to lead to much speculation as to whether James Bond is immortal or his name and number are just codenames recycled throughout the generations. No Time To Die at least confirms one of these to be true and very much disproves another.

Rumoured to be the reason Danny Boyle left the project in the first place, Barbra Broccoli and everyone else involved with the production saw it fir to finally kill off James. Was this the right call? Well, time will tell, but thanks to his fatal infection by Safin, but has now become the very weapon that would only target Madeleine and anyone else related to her.

So not being the one who kill her or his child, Double O Seven succumbs to a missile strike that obliterates him, the island and Project Heracles.
