Olivier Stone calls off the search for Bin Laden

Olivier Stone's plans to direct a sequel of sorts to his highly commercialized 9/11 movie World Trade Center have been scrapped according to reports on the web. The movie Jawbreaker, which would depict the aftermath of 9/11 and more specifically America's invasion of Afghanistan and the hunt for Osama Bin Laden was set to be Stone's next movie but the ever changing story of these events even to this day, means he wants to put it off for a while. The movie was set to be based on the memoirs of CIA agent Gary Bernsten.

€œThe director of Platoon and Wall Street has shelved plans to do a film about Bin Laden and Afghanistan, saying the story is changing too fast to properly put to film yet. €œPerhaps some day. Bush is a fascinating portrait in psychopathy and I think it would make a great film, and Blair would have to play a supporting role.
Seems to make sense but it may be a very long time until we get anything kind of resolution on this Mr. Stone. Years, probably decades. It certainly doesn't look like it's going to end anytime soon. The 'ever changing story of the war on terror' of course hasn't stopped other film-makers from telling their own stories. Just look at the following list of movies that are already set to be released... Lions for Lambs, Charlie Wilson's War, In The Valley of Elah, Redacted, Stop Loss, The Hurt Locker, The Imperial Life in the Emerald City,Grace is Gone, Battle for Haditha, The Kingdom and Rendition.
