Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Review: 7 Ups & 3 Downs

5. The Ridiculously Stacked Ensemble Cast

It's not an exaggeration to say that Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has one of the greatest ensemble casts in cinema history, and though many of the cast members ultimately only show up for a scant moment or two - or in the case of Tim Roth, got cut out entirely - there's no arguing against the bevy of acting talent holding the screen at any time.

Especially notable among the ensemble are Al Pacino as Rick's agent Marvin Schwarz (a dream casting pick if there ever was one), Margaret Qualley as the seductive Manson family member Pussycat, and Julia Butters as a delightfully precocious young child actor working opposite Rick.

There are also some brief yet memorable parts for Timothy Olyphant as Rick's co-star James Stacy, and Bruce Dern as an elderly blind man who has lent his ranch out to the Manson family.

The entire cast is an embarrassment of riches, and while you might be disappointed just how little screen time some of the performers get, it's clear that everyone's just happy to be in a Tarantino movie, no matter the size of the part.
